The year 2014 saw its fair share of bathroom remodeling trends that will carry over into 2015 and years beyond. However, there were some fads that you will not see nearly as much as you prepare to remodel your bathroom in 2015.
One of those trends being the crazily popular vessel bowl sinks – homeowners, although a fan of the style, have found these countertop sinks to be a functional nightmare. Most vessels are too tall or the countertop too low, creating an uncomfortable feeling. Keep an eye out for trough sinks and undermount trough sinks in 2015. The heights of these units are most often less than a standard vessel. This gives the homeowner a similar style while also providing a functional design.
Another fad to stay away from in 2015 is the eerily popular bright, even neon paint and material colors. Remember, this is an area in your home where a lot of time will be spent and those bold colors can get old fast! While incorporating brighter, lighter colors can make the space look larger, be sure to use the ultra-bright materials as an accent. These colors are not meant to be used as a color scheme – rather as a compliment to the design.
